Sector 9

Au'Khan's Journal

As of late I have been short on coin which has severely hampered my mission*. It was supposed to be like any other job. What a strange turn of events. It began relatively normal; get hired by some random human, meet up with your fellow employees, crack some skulls….then things got weird. We were about halfway through our journey to Tyran when I decided to commune withe nature. Why I did this I do not know, but I do sense that I am being guided by something. We were led to an ancient Spider Clan temple of some sort where we ran into a few enemies. The most intriguing was a spirit as I have only dreamed of spirits before, never seen them while awake. This is something I will ask Shi’rin about next time I see him.

Those who fought with me are talented warriors and I am lucky to fight alongside them. Their demeanors are something I am still figuring out however. Bor’ess is a little quiet and I am unsure of his motives; I will continue to keep an eye on him. Mikale is deadly…he reminds me of the Spider Clan members I fought alongside during my pilgrimage; silent, hidden, extremely dangerous. His motives seem to be primarily money based…this is a trait that can be both good and bad, I will need to try to get him to trust me as a friend as soon as possible. Brennon Fintan is the closest to my demeanor I think, although I have yet to truly reveal my demeanor to him. He seems noble, proud, and a staunch fighter. This is someone of my own heart. Of anyone in the group I trust him most.

Back to the temple…we found an inscription referencing the Song of Dia’ni. This is something that I did not learn during my time with the Spider Clan. I was luckily able to convince the group to keep the underground temple secret and to travel to the Spider Clan home to inform them of the find. It should be a great discovery for the clan and I feel as though they will give me great praise for discovering it. My main concern right now is the introduction of my groupmates into the wastes. Not only must I teach them to survive but I must also maintain the secrecy of the clans. I will somehow need to get them to the Spider Clan home in a way that they would not be able to get back on their own. Perhaps I can weave through the wastes, avoiding landmarks and changing directions frequently to confuse them…I just hope that my introduction of outsiders will not be met with anger. *Refer to Bio
